Varsity Mulching is seeking motivated high school students to lead mulching teams for our landscaping projects. As a High School Project Manager, you will manage a team of 3-5 of your peers to lay mulch, following prep work completed by our full-time teams. This role is perfect for high schoolers looking to gain leadership experience and earn competitive pay while balancing school and extracurricular commitments. The position will run from March 17 until Graduation Week, with an option to continue working after the school year ends.

We offer you the autonomy to choose your own team, and we’ll provide all the equipment you need—no equipment sharing or coordinating with other managers required this year. You’ll be responsible for making sure your team works efficiently and upholds our quality standards, all while gaining valuable leadership and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3-5 students to lay mulch on residential properties.
- Ensure all tasks are completed to the company’s high standards and in a timely manner.
- Oversee equipment delivery and ensure its proper use from employees.
- Proactively communicate and manage scheduling needs with management.
- Complete job report and employee timesheets for each job.
Requirements
- A daily driver that can fit 2 wheelbarrows.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
- Leadership skills to motivate and organize your team.
- High character—someone who does the right thing even when no one is watching.
- Landscaping experience is preferred but not required—we’ll teach you the skills needed to landscape, but we can’t teach work ethic and character.

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
